ABOUT ME!
Hi! I'm Kevin Heng, I graduated from Digipen Institute of Technology with an undergraduate in Computer Science and Game Design.
I have experience working with both triple A international companies like Ubisoft, along with smaller local based studios like Mighty Bear Games.
I have a keen passion for developing games that emotionally move players while maintaining the highest standard of technical requirements.

Skull And Bones
Skull and Bones is a 2024 action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Singapore and published by Ubisoft. The game revolves around piracy and naval warfare with a fantastical setting in East Africa and Southeast Asia during the late 17th century, the peak of the historical Golden Age of Piracy.
I was a gameplay programmer on the Progression and Economy team and was the feature owner for the Infamy (experience system). This involved working closely with the designer to deliver scalable solutions that worked at all sections of the game, including the endgame Kingpin portion.
I also assisted with UI tasks along with automated testing for my features.
Roles: Gameplay Programmer, Automated Testing
Disney Melee Mania
Disney Melee Mania is a mobile MOBA based on the various Disney IPs in which players face off against each other in fast-paced 3v3 multiplayer battles.
I had the pleasure of contributing to this project during my time as an engineering intern at Mighty Bear Games. It was a unique experience where I learned about uniRx, Unity DOTS, along with the challenges of official publication and working with 2 large partners, Apple and Disney. I also wrote an article about my learnings about UI which you can view by clicking the "Read More" button!
Roles: UI Programmer, Test Writing, Bug Fixing
Apotcalypse
Apotcalypse is a 3D colony management and simulation game that I developed with my project mates in the 3rd year of my time at Digipen Singapore.
The development journey was challenging as colony management is not a genre often tackled at our university, it required many iterative changes and I learned so much during this project.
I was the gameplay champion as well as the systems designer and had to figure out how to make a data driven way to map things like buildings as well as placed workers along with idle workers.
Roles: Gameplay Champion, Systems Designer
Mind Over Matter
Mind Over Matter is a 2D Puzzle platformer, where the player has to utilize the capabilities of his three different states of matter to escape the enemy swarmed facility.
Roles: Physics/Gameplay Programmer, Level Design
Awards:
Winner, Best Visual Design
Finalist, Best Sophomore Game
Finalist, Best User Interface
Finalist, Best 2D Graphics Technology
STI MediHelper
STI Medihelper is an app I developed with a team of 3 as part of my Technical Design Methods module.
It uses a series of questions and a simple Artificial Intelligence along with a KNN classification algorithm in order to help the user determine their likelihood of having an Sexually Transmitted Illness (STI) along with what it could possibly be.
This app was developed in Unity and built for Android usage.
